The Suppliers’ Day Presentation Theater will feature short, educational sessions highlighting sustainability on a global scale. “Natural,” “Sustainable,” and “Green” cosmetics are now much more than a trend for the cosmetics industry, they are increasingly present and in demand by consumers. Addressing this demand will be experts offering a perspective from around the globe, as well as award-winning exhibitors who are breaking ground in sustainability initiatives. Schedule includes:

Corporative background: professional career developed for more than 35 years in pharmaceutical and cosmetics companies working for innovation, research, development, safety and efficacy evaluations and quality control areas for final products and active ingredients. Johnson & Johnson, Schering-Plough, Natura and Stiefel / GSK are some examples of companies that he worked for. Since 2015 is an Independent Consultant at SLINC – Scientific Learning and Innovation Consulting.

Associate background: active board member since 2000 of Brazilian Association of Cosmetology (ABC), being your president from 2005 to 2009 and since 2008 represents this association and the country at International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemistries (IFSCC) being your President from 2013 to 2014; Scientific Council Member of Institute of Technology and Studies for Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance (ITEHPEC).

Academic Background: Pharmacist with MSc and PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology /Cosmetology by Pharmaceutical Sciences College at University of São Paulo - USP. Also post graduated at Marketing by Superior School of Marketing - ESPM. Nowadays is Professor of Cosmetology and Coordinator of the Cosmetic Technology Course at Oswaldo Cruz College - FOC.

 Dr. Evelyn Su is the president, co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Sino Lion, a leading innovative and new technological materials company who serves worldwide markets in the cosmetic, personal care, pharmaceutical, health care and related industries. Dr. Su obtained her Ph.D. in Chemistry in 1993 from University of Connecticut, Storrs, CT, USA. After graduation, Dr. Su worked as a Scientist at Pfizer during 1993-1995. In July 1995, Dr. Su co-founded Sino Lion USA, and moved its operation to and worked at 1 World Trade Center (Twin Towers) in New York City until the horrific destruction on September 11, 2001. She feels super fortunate that she is still alive today. She has published the English book entitled “Asian Botanicals” in the USA as well as numerous peer reviewed academic journal articles. Dr. Su has given scores of invited talks and conference presentations as either a keynote or invited speaker in the USA and around the world.

Dr. Su has extensive experience in inventing and managing new materials technologies and commercializing various technologies into marketable products worldwide. She has successfully led Sino Lion in collaborating with a number of Fortune 500 companies in bringing technologies into the marketplace either in the form of Open-Innovation, exclusive co-development program or non-exclusive technology commercialization. Since 1995, Dr. Su has worked extensively as an innovative entrepreneur in both USA and China. Under her leadership Sino Lion has become a globally approved supplier to a growing number of Fortune 500 companies.

Dr. Su is the President of Chinese American Cosmetic Professional Association (CACPA) in the USA, serving the professional community since 2013. She was the pioneer and creator of the 1st US-China Cosmetic Regulatory Symposium held on May 16, 2013 in Woodbridge, NJ, where Jon Huntsman, Jr., the former US Ambassador to China, served as the keynote speaker. Since this event, Dr. Su has become a well-recognized figure and one of the authorities in Chinese Cosmetic Regulations to the US Cosmetic and Personal Care Industry. Dr. Su earned her EMBA from China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in 2010.
