Dr Dell’Acqua began serving the NYSCC to spearhead the Chapter’s Scientific Committee (SC) and in charge of its scientific blog. Under Dell’Acqua’s leadership, the SC has served as a scientific source for articles and blogs; as an educational platform by attracting top speakers for Suppliers’ Day, webinars and NYSCC events; and as an independent reviewer for scientific content submitted to the NYSCC. Dell’Acqua is proud to lead a Committee that is helping to set the right communication on Cosmetic Science for the Industry. Dell’Acqua also serves the NYSCC as an educator and international ambassador and is often sent as a motivational speaker to events organized by the Cosmetic Scientists International Federations. Such activities are instrumental to promote NYSCC events such as Suppliers’ Day around the globe. He also assists in structuring the NYSCC educational programs as a speaker and moderator.
If voted to be the next Chair-elect of the NYSCC, Dell’Acqua will dedicate his effort to fulfill the Chapter’s mission and continue its legacy. In particular: a) he will lead a top class executive board to provide the best content and events to the chapter’s members; b) he will bring his scientific background and the Scientific Committee expertise to deliver top cosmetic science and technical marketing communication using the chapter platforms (Supplier’s Day, Website, Blog, Cosmetiscope, and Social Media); c) he will pay particular attention to the chapter youngest members to help them succeed in our industry by supporting mentoring programs, increasing networking opportunities, creating industrial meet up, involving them to volunteer at events and facilitating them to present; d) he will continue and further grow collaborations with other organization such the American Chemical Society (ACS), Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW), among others, to facilitate our members and their members the access to communication platforms; e) he will also foster more synergies with schools having cosmetic science or cosmetic marketing programs (such as FDU, LIU, Rutgers, FIT, etc.) to facilitate our members access to students and their work.
And finally, last but not least, he will listen to the chapter’s members and their wishes, because the NYSCC is all of us and we can grow it together.
