Job Title:  Technical Marketing Manager

 

Reports To:  Chief Revenue Officer

 

Primary Job Description:

Work in close collaboration with the Chief Revenue Officer and the Technical Team to develop promotional and technical content for LEI’s derm-friendly, emulsifier-free dispersion products. You will be deeply involved in the development and execution of marketing, digital marketing and trade show planning.  You may be required for occasional travel and attendance to trade shows to assist in marketing LEI products and further develop brand awareness. You will be tasked with exploring new channels and ideas to increase LEI’s market share and best support LEI’s Sales efforts.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, create, and execute marketing materials about technical products/prototypes in LEI’s expansive product line.
  • Write original copy for digital and print marketing collateral.
  • Create technical figures and tables for customer facing content.
  • Contribute to the creation of technical seminars, white papers, application notes and posters.
  • Review and summarize scientific literature to support the development of technical content.
  • Assist CRO with art design and layout of promotional material.
  • Occasionally create new content from the product development lab to enhance digital marketing campaigns and better express the unique benefits of LEI’s technology.
  • Provide new copy write, review and oversight of existing marketing material for accuracy and quality of content.
  • Contribute to the development and communication to the market of compelling, differentiating value propositions, positioning, and messaging at the solution, product, and segment level.
  • Take the lead with oversight from CRO on marketing execution across channels, including online website, social, and mail.
  • Track results, review analytics, and provide ROI of marketing activities.

Education and Experience:

  • Scientific knowledge of formulations in Personal Care and Cosmetics, excellent writing and technical skills, and, ideally, experience in copy writing, designing and digital marketing media.
  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, cosmetic chemistry or related field.
  • Scientific background or laboratory experience in the field of cosmetic chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry, biochemistry preferred.
  • Requires at least 5 years of marketing experience in the Personal Care, Cosmetics or Pharmaceutical Industry.
  • Demonstrates well-developed written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to establish highly functional relationships with diverse personalities.
  • Open, customer-focused style of communication.
  • Work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team, contribute to discussions and meetings with original ideas, and to communicate effectively with the rest of the team and the upper management.
  • Demonstrable ability to work effectively in a faced paced, challenging and changing entrepreneurial environment.
