Jacob K. Javits Convention Center

From the moment its doors opened in 1986, the Javits Center has offered a glimpse of new possibilities.

Operated by the New York Convention Center Operating Corporation (NYCCOC), the Javits Center is much more than a building.  It’s a place where business thrives.  Where ideas come alive.  And where the future debuts.

The Javits Center is proud to serve as a part of New York’s economic resurgence, and our staff is working closely with our clients, government partners and industry stakeholders to ensure operations are as safe, efficient and effective as possible.

As a reminder, we are following all New York State and New York City COVID-19 safety protocols, including the Key to NYC program. In accordance with those guidelines, the following is required for admission to all events at the Javits Center, including all event organizers, contractors, exhibitors and attendees. The Javits Center also requires all visitors to wear face coverings inside the facility regardless of vaccination status.

  • Full Vaccination: People ages 12 and older are required to show proof they have received two COVID-19 vaccine doses, except for those who have received the one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
  • Children: Children ages 5 to 11 are now required to show they have received at least one dose of a vaccine. Starting January 29, 2022, children ages 5 to 11 must also show proof of full vaccination.
  • Identification: People ages 18 and older are required to show identification along with their proof of vaccination.

Approved vaccines include those authorized for emergency use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or World Health Organization (WHO). Please consult with your Event Solutions about the types of proof of vaccination.

The Javits Center has implemented additional measures to enhance the safety of all visitors, including:

  • Installation of High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) air filters to reduce air pollutants throughout the convention center;
  • Installation of socially distanced seating in all food and beverage areas;
  • Installation of hand-sanitizing stations in public areas; and
  • Accreditation by the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC), the industry’s highest standard for cleaning and disinfection.
