I am honored and truly excited to serve as Chair of NYSCC. Serving alongside John Carola has been both inspiring and enlightening. His clear leadership, vision, and unwavering commitment to advancing cosmetic science have strengthened our Chapter and created a powerful foundation for continued growth. I’m grateful for his steady guidance, his championship of collaboration at every turn, and his ongoing participation as Advisor to our board.

Our community thrives when we work together. Over recent years, we have elevated our educational initiatives and underscored the unique role NYSCC and Suppliers’ Day play as the focal point of beauty and personal care product development. That spirit of collaboration will remain a guiding force as we move forward.

My theme as Chair, Breaking Beauty Boundaries with Science, captures the ambition, curiosity, and creativity that define our Chapter. We will continue expanding NYSCC’s global reach and celebrating the incredible diversity of our membership. Ensuring an inclusive and welcoming environment for all remains at the heart of every initiative.

We are exploring new avenues for scientific storytelling and knowledge exchange, including the re-launch of an NYSCC podcast designed to highlight the science behind our industry in fresh, engaging ways. Strengthening outreach to students and young professionals is another key priority, as they represent the future of cosmetic science and the next generation of NYSCC leadership.

Our collaboration with SCC National and sister chapters around the globe continues to deepen as we work collectively to elevate education, innovation, and community across the broader SCC network.

Together with our Executive Board, I look forward to breaking new boundaries, fostering innovation, and elevating the science that drives us forward.
