Top Cosmetic Chemists to Share Skincare Ingredient Trends on Sept. 13th

(New York, NY, August 2018)—The Scientific Advisory Committee of the leading association for the advancement of cosmetic science, New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists (NYSCC), will headline “What’s Up in Skincare: New Ingredients, New Benefits, New Claims?” at MakeUp in New York. Taking place Sept. 12 -13, at Center415 in New York City, the event brings together make-up professionals and product developers to discover the latest trends and innovations in the beauty industry.

The NYSCC supported panel, “What’s up in Skincare; New Ingredients, New Benefits, New Claims?” will take place on Sept. 13th from 2:30 p.m. – 3:15 p.m. at MakeUp in New York.  This timely session will explore the hottest trends in ingredients for skin care, color cosmetics, and skin physiology.  Natural ingredients, use of polymers, innovations combatting digital pollution and more will be discussed.

Chair of the NYSCC Scientific Advisory Committee, Dr . Giorgio Dell’Acqua, will open the panel with “Color cosmetics with skin care benefits: a general introduction.”  The other panelists and topics include:

Noreza Papin, Area Manager, Laboratoire Expanscience, “When makeup takes care of your skin: natural ingredients with benefits in color cosmetics and skin care;”

Hani Fares, Senior Director, Ashland, Inc., “Enhanced performance and feel in makeup formulations with a novel wear-resistant, anti-pollution, film-former;”

Toussaint Jordan, Technical Marketing Leader, Gattefossé USA, “Beauty armor: using make up to pollution-proof skin.”

“NYSCC’s goal has been to have our scientific advisors participate as presenters at relevant industry events to showcase innovation and the depth of their technical, bench and laboratory expertise,” said Dr. Dell’Acqua.

NYSCC will also be supporting other industry events in the coming months including: the 30th IFSCC Congress, September 18-21, Munich, Germany; SWSCC Suppliers’ Day, September 19, Irving, TX; and the SCC’s 72nd Annual Scientific Meeting & Technology Showcase, December 11-12, in New York City.

The NYSCC main event, Suppliers’ Day, returns to the Javits Center, in New York City, May 7-8, 2019.  Plans are underway for this leading beauty and personal care ingredients and raw materials innovations trade show to have a larger exhibit floor and expanded educational offerings.
